FAQ
Short answers to the questions people ask first.
Launching
What does it cost to launch a token?
Gas only. There is no launch fee. If you also buy your own token in the launch transaction, that buy is a normal curve buy with the 1% fee.
Can a creator get tokens for free?
No. There are no allocations of any kind. A creator who wants to hold their token buys it from the curve, at the curve's price, like everyone else. During the launch window, that buy counts against the creator's 1%.
Can I change the name, ticker or supply after launch?
No. The name, ticker and supply are fixed in the token contract. The rules of the curve, the window, graduation and fees are fixed for every token.
Buying and selling
Why can't I buy more than 1% right after a launch?
For the first two blocks, about 0.2 seconds, no wallet can buy more than 1% of the supply in total. See Launch window.
My buy from a smart-contract wallet failed right after launch. Why?
During the launch window only regular wallets can buy; contracts cannot, and smart-contract wallets count as contracts. Try again once the window has passed.
Can I sell during the launch window?
Yes. The window limits buys only. Selling back to the curve is always possible until the token graduates.
What does a price like 0.0₇393 ETH mean?
The small number counts the zeros after the decimal point. 0.0₇393 ETH is 0.0000000393 ETH.
How is market cap calculated?
Price times the full supply of 1,000,000,000, in ETH. Dollar values are converted at a recent ETH price and are approximate.
Graduation and the pool
What happens to my tokens when a token graduates?
Nothing changes in your wallet. It is the same token at the same address. Trading moves from the curve to the Uniswap v4 pool, which opens in the same transaction.
Can anyone remove the liquidity?
No. The position belongs to the locker, which can only collect fees. It has no withdraw function, no owner, and cannot be upgraded. See Liquidity lock.
Fees and rules
How do creators claim their fees?
From Profile → Creator fees. Curve fees are credited with every trade. Pool fees are credited when someone collects them from the locker, and anyone can trigger that.
Can Lancio change the fees or the rules?
No. Every parameter is fixed in the contracts. The owner can only change the treasury address and pause the creation of new tokens. See Admin powers.
Can Lancio stop me from selling?
No contract function can pause trading. Robinhood Chain's operator runs the sequencer and can delay or filter transactions; see Risks.
